Job summary

Ferguson in Brookshire, TX is seeking a Distribution Center Warehouse Trainer to oversee onboarding and training for new hires and cross-training across the warehouse. You will lead orientation, coordinate schedules, and ensure SOP adherence.

You will conduct on-the-job training, deliver safety programs for PIT equipment, and mentor associates while tracking progress and coordinating with Operations leadership.

Qualifications

• Must have prior training experience in a warehouse or distribution environment with safety program delivery.

Ferguson is currently seeking the right individual to fill an immediate need for a Distribution Center Warehouse Trainer in our facility located in Brookshire, TX!. If you have experience training /safety or coaching in a distribution center or warehouse environment, this is the position for you!

Position Summary

This position is a key role within the distribution center. Under the direction of the Operations Manager, this position will oversee the onboarding and training processes for new hires and cross‑training associates within all aspects of the warehouse.

Responsibilities

• Shift - Monday - Friday / 9am - 530pm
• Leads initial orientation and discusses overall training schedule
• Conduct and facilitate on-the -job training programs for Ferguson DC associates, both new hires and existing.
• Trains new and current associates on safety requirements within the warehouse
• Completes one‑on‑one training of job specific warehouse operations and WMS processes with new and existing associates
• Audits the work of all associates for adherence to training standards and SOPs
• Meets regularly with Operations Manager and department leaders to provide feedback and suggestions for improvement
• Ensures proper tracking of training status for each associate
• Audits training processes for each department to ensure consistency to SOPs
• Is responsible for all Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) training in the warehouse including initial certification, recertification and accident retraining's.
• Provide recurrent training for all certification and require safety training programs
• Provide guidance and mentorship to less experienced associates

Qualifications

• Must have prior training experience in a warehouse or distribution environment and must be proficient at powered equipment training such as forklifts and pallet jacks as well as have successful implementation of general safety programs.
• Experience working with Ferguson or similar supply chain operations a plus
• Experience in operation of and training on Powered Industrial Equipment
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule to accommodate training across multiple shifts
• Ability to prioritize, multitask and manage deadlines through effective organization, delegation and time management skills
• Exhibits superior communication skills (oral, written and telephone skills)
• Authors, builds, develops & delivers effective training programs
• Shows outstanding presentation and public speaking skills
• Practices and demonstrates successful facilitation of training programs
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and our learning management system: (ELM) Enterprise Learning Management

Pay Range

$15.00 - $41.10

Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles.

This role is Bonus or Incentive Plan eligible.
