Job summary

The role reports to the Operations Manager and focuses on safety, on-the-job training, and cross-training across all warehouse operations. You will lead orientations, deliver formal and hands-on training, certify PIT operators, track training status, and partner with department leaders to improve programs.

Job Posting:Ferguson is currently seeking the right individual to fill an immediate need for a Distribution Center Warehouse Trainer in our facility located in Brookshire, TX!. If you have experience training /safety or coaching in a distribution center or warehouse environment, this is the position for you!Position SummaryThis position is a key role within the distribution center. Under the direction of the Operations Manager, this position will oversee the onboarding and training processes for new hires and cross-training associates within all aspects of the warehouse.ResponsibilitiesShift - Monday - Friday / 9am - 530pmLeads initial orientation and discusses overall training scheduleConduct and facilitate on-the -job training programs for Ferguson DC associates, both new hires and existing.Trains new and current associates on safety requirements within the warehouseCompletes one-on-one training of job specific warehouse operations and WMS processes with new and existing associatesAudits the work of all associates for adherence to training standards and SOPsMeets regularly with Operations Manager and department leaders to provide feedback and suggestions for improvementEnsures proper tracking of training status for each associateAudits training processes for each department to ensure consistency to SOPsIs responsible for all Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) training in the warehouse including initial certification, recertification and accident retraining's.Provide recurrent training for all certification and require safety training programsProvide guidance and mentorship to less experienced associatesQualificationsMust have prior training experience in a warehouse or distribution environment and must be proficient at powered equipment training such as forklifts and pallet jacks as well as have successful implementation of general safety programs.Experience working with Ferguson or similar supply chain operations a plusExperience in operation of and training on Powered Industrial EquipmentMust be able to work a flexible schedule to accommodate training across multiple shiftsAbility to prioritize, multitask and manage deadlines through effective organization, delegation and time management skillsExhibits superior communication skills (oral, written and telephone skills)Authors, builds, develops & delivers effective training programsShows outstanding presentation and public speaking skillsPractices and demonstrates successful facilitation of training programsProficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and our learning management system: (ELM) Enterprise Learning Management-Pay Range:-$15.00 - $41.10-Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles.-This role is Bonus or Incentive Plan eligible.-Ferguson complies with all wage regulations.
