Job summary

The Children’s Place is seeking a warehouse associate in Fort Payne, Alabama to prepare items for shipment according to TCP standards. You will be part of a fast-paced team handling cases, operating RF scanners, and ensuring accurate labeling and packaging.

Responsibilities include receiving cases, verifying information, palletizing, routing items, and conducting SKU audits while maintaining a clean work area and delivering excellent service to drivers and internal teams.

• Verify information against bills of lading, invoices, or orders.
• Input data with RF scanners and palletize cases.
• Route items to departments and distribute merchandise to stores per pick lights.
• Perform audits to verify SKU quantities.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and provide excellent service to drivers and internal departments.

Location: Fort Payne, Alabama

Job Summary: Prepares items for shipment according to TCP standards pending upon department assignment.

Key Accountabilities

• Following guided procedures to ensure each shipment is processed according to TCP standards
• Ensure that all packages are inspected for proper labeling and packaging
• Identify and Notify Supervisor of any irregularities and assist in troubleshooting any shipping discrepancies
• Receive cases using an automated conveyor system and/or radio frequency scanners
• Compare identifying information verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records
• Physically palletize cases and systematically input data utilizing radio frequency scanners
• Route items to departments
• Disperse merchandise to individual stores according to pick lights
• Perform audits verifying sku quantity
• Use RF technology to complete cartons for stores and/or replace with new carton
• Place empty totes on the tote take away line
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Provide excellent customer service to delivery drivers as well as internal departments

Education and Experience

Regularly required to stand, walk and reach with hands and arms. Occasionally required to sit and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The associate must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus. Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. Must have the ability to read and comprehend instructions and to write correspondence. Basic math skills are required, such as the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide. Must have the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple instructions and the ability to effectively communicate with Supervisor. Basic PC skills are required.
