Job summary

America's Future is seeking an intern to join our Washington, DC team this spring. You'll support the production of DC events, including our Annual Gala & Awards Showcase, and the fellowship programs and chapters that bring our community together year-round.

This is a hands-on role for someone who wants to see how a nonprofit builds and delivers programs and events, from the first planning spreadsheet to the night itself.

Qualifications

  • Detail-oriented and organized; able to manage multiple tasks
  • Strong written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Thrives in a team environment and meets deadlines
  • Entrepreneurial spirit with proactive mindset
  • Experience with nonprofit events or programs is a plus
  • Exposure to Salesforce, HubSpot, or Eventbrite is beneficial

Responsibilities

  • Support Annual Gala planning and logistics
  • Manage guest lists, RSVPs, and registration in Salesforce and Eventbrite
  • Assist with sponsor, donor, and honoree communications
  • Provide program support for AF's fellowships and chapters
  • Track attendance, participation, and feedback in the CRM
  • Support AF-DC events and content creation for social channels
  • Assist with daily office operations
