Job summary

Teradyne North Reading, MA is seeking a DC Hardware Engineering Manager to lead architecture, development, and delivery of DC power supply hardware for advanced test systems. This player-coach role blends leadership with deep technical expertise in power electronics and DC power system design.

You will supervise a team of design engineers, guiding cross-functional collaboration with mechanical, firmware, software, systems, operations, and manufacturing to deliver robust power solutions for test

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on hardware engineering in DC power supply or power electronics.
• 2+ years in a managerial role with hands-on contribution.
• Direct experience leading teams of 6+ staff.
• Strong fundamentals in analog/power circuit design and control loops.
• Experience with debugging tools and test methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead hardware architecture and development for DC power instruments.
• Mentor and coach a team of hardware engineers and set performance goals.
• Oversee hardware projects from concept to production and ensure schedule adherence.
• Collaborate across firmware, software, mechanical, systems, and manufacturing.
• Drive process improvements, validation, and quality across power hardware.
