Job summary

Teradyne seeks an experienced hardware engineer to own the design of DC instrument boards, from architecture through bring-up and volume release. You will work on high-current power supplies and four-quadrant source-measure instruments, shaping performance from noise to transient response.

You will translate system specs into board-level requirements, lead layout, and validation, and collaborate across firmware, mechanical, software, calibration teams, mentoring others along the way.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
• Six or more years in power electronics, precision analog, or instrumentation hardware design.
• Experience owning a board from architecture through production release.

Responsibilities

• Translate system specifications into board-level requirements.
• Architect DC sourcing and measurement circuits from microamps to >100 A.
• Lead schematic capture, component selection, and multilayer PCB layout direction.
• Verify safe operating area across required voltage and current ranges.
• Own force and measurement paths, including sensing and leakage performance.
• Lead hardware bring-up and root-cause failures across hardware, firmware, software, and systems.
• Guide vendors and contractors and support field-issue investigations.
• Mentor engineers and review schematics, simulations, analyses, and results.
