Job summary

Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP seeks a Senior Security Specialist to manage day-to-day physical security for its Washington, DC office, near sensitive federal locations. You will provide on-the-ground oversight, support firm-wide security initiatives, and cover events and travel security with a focus on risk mitigation.

Ideal candidates bring at least five years in corporate security, proficiency with security technologies, and strong communication skills for senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of corporate or private-sector security experience.
• Strong knowledge of physical security principles and risk assessment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily physical security operations for the DC office.
• Act as boots on the ground and interface with building security.
• Lead incident response for local security events and escalate as needed.
• Monitor threats and coordinate with law enforcement and security staff.
• Manage security systems including access control, CCTV, and intrusion detection.
• Support business continuity, crisis management, drills, and life safety programs.
• Advise local leadership on risks and security policy implementation.
• Contribute to firm-wide security governance and events security.
