Qualifications

• 5 to 7 years’ experience in a Senior Distribution Operations position.
• Working knowledge of PCs and various business software packages.
• Business knowledge as it relates to budgets, payroll, general administration, etc.
• Knowledge of labor and employment laws.
• The ability to solve a wide range of complex problems which must consider short and intermediate term solutions.
• The ability to handle potentially controversial issues, which involve negotiation, and influence positive outcomes among groups of varying positions.
• Ability to improve existing systems or procedures which periodically result in new ideas or processes.

Responsibilities

• Juggle a variety of functions and projects with strong organizational skills and flexibility.
• Support DC managers by providing counsel, reviewing staffing assumptions to ensure workforce utilization and cross-training.
• Present yourself as a reliable, trusted partner who can handle confidential and sensitive information.
• Aim to decrease associate turnover through innovative retention methods and cultivate a positive DC culture.
• Solve problems quickly and challenge inappropriate actions or comments; establish yourself as a leader and advocate for the associates.
• Maintain regular floor presence to facilitate face-to-face communication with DC associates and be a trusted resource.
• Coordinate training activities and support performance management processes.
