Job summary

Harbor Freight Tools is seeking an Area Manager to oversee day-to-day operations in a distribution center in Washington. You will supervise associates, coach and discipline when needed, and ensure training and cross-training are completed on schedule.

You will plan staffing, monitor performance, and drive improvements in efficiency, safety, and service levels while maintaining a positive, collaborative work environment. This role requires strong leadership and adherence to company policies.

Qualifications

• Supervises and directs associates in distribution center operations.
• Develops staff through coaching and formal training programs.
• Monitors performance, enforces policies, and drives safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Select, orient, train, coach and discipline Associates
• Educate and develop Associates to improve capability and performance
• Ensure training completion and cross-training as scheduled
• Plan and manage production and staffing to meet targets
• Identify and implement process improvements for efficiency and safety
• Maintain clean, safe work environment and ensure tool/equipment readiness
• Schedule staff and monitor attendance, vacations, and time off
• Create a collaborative, respectful workplace and lead special projects
