Job summary

World Market is seeking an Operations Manager to lead distribution center operations, driving efficiency, growth, and safety across receiving, stocking, order fulfillment, and shipping. You will develop leaders and maintain a high-performing work environment in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years progressive experience in distribution, with knowledge of all distribution functions.
• Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field.
• 5-7 years supervisory and training experience.
• Knowledge of material handling equipment and distribution management processes.
• Mainframe systems knowledge (AS400) and RF scanning.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and supervise distribution center leaders to meet productivity and cost targets.
• Develop and monitor operating plans to control distribution costs.
• Train and develop management personnel in leadership and warehouse systems.
• Maintain a safe, OSHA-compliant work environment.
• Prepare annual operating budgets with the director.
• Collaborate with corporate and retail locations to resolve issues.
• Set goals and direction for distribution operations.
• Maintain proper use of assets, inventory and equipment.
• Work with Team Leaders to drive performance and growth.
• Perform other duties and projects.
• Establish/Maintain distribution center practices.
