Job summary

Van Meter Inc. in Cedar Rapids, IA is seeking a Commodities Supervisor to lead distribution center operations, manage the department budget, schedule daily work, and ensure on-time, accurate customer orders while safeguarding safety standards.

You will mentor and coach team members, drive continuous improvement, analyze daily reports, coordinate with production and inside sales, and promote a strong service culture that reflects our 5 P's and company values.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and mentorship to distribution center team members.
• Oversee daily operations and ensure on-time, accurate orders.
• Monitor safety initiatives and ensure compliance across shifts.
• Optimize production schedules and maximize machine uptime.
• Collaborate with inside sales, Production Manager, and DC Manager to ensure quality service.
• Train new team members and promote continuous improvement.
• Help manage delivery logistics for the branch and shift resources as needed.
