Job summary

Mattress Firm seeks an Assistant Operations Manager to help lead daily operations across our distribution center, supervise the DC team, and support meeting financial objectives while upholding safety and quality standards.

You will participate in onboarding, coach staff, conduct regular meetings, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. A high school diploma is required; a Bachelor's degree is preferred, and 2+ years in warehousing or logistics is expected.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• 2+ years related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in efficient day-to-day operations of the distribution center.
• Contribute to meeting financial objectives of the DC.
• Foster trust, open communication, and teamwork.
• Lead regular team meetings and one-on-one coaching.
• Ensure adherence to policies, safety, and quality standards.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Verify payroll accuracy and conduct cycle counts.
• Support onboarding and training of new team members.
