About The Opportunity
- DC Material Handler working schedule: Shift 912 (Sunday-Thursday 11:30 pm‑7:30 am)
- Hourly wage: $27.50 plus shift premium if applicable
Role Summary
To load and unload finished goods, stock transfer orders, and transfers to Church & Dwight customers and outside Distribution Centers, and to build pick pallets.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Operate sit‑down, stand‑up, and pallet riders proficiently.
- Load and unload trailers and containers accurately and to specification.
- Build pick pallets according to pick lists.
- Maintain necessary paperwork with a high degree of accuracy.
- Perform daily preventive maintenance inspections.
- Keep the department clean by sweeping and dumping trash at the end of each shift.
- Work with Church & Dwight carriers and customers in a highly professional manner.
- Be proficient in WMS to load or unload trucks in a timely manner.
- Read and understand the pick list by quantity, product type, lot codes, and product version codes to fulfill customer orders.
- Operate stretch wrapper to secure load on pallet.
- Be familiar with the plant food safety program and basic HACCP principles.
- Work any shift during the week as well as weekends.
- Use safe operating procedures and judgment.
- Operate forklift safely and efficiently.
- Follow all facility rules to maintain quality and integrity of both raw materials and finished products.
- Lift 50 pounds consistently.
Minimum Education, Training, and Experience Requirements
- High School Diploma / GED.
- Minimum of six months forklift experience.
- WMS experience is preferred.
- Working knowledge of material handling equipment.

Physical Requirements
JOB TITLE: DC Material Handler
TYPICAL WORK CONDITIONS: Exposure to moving machinery, chemical fumes, hot surfaces/tools, heat/cold, concrete surface, slippery surface, repetitive motion, noise, dust particulates, forklift batteries.
EQUIPMENT USED: Step stool/ladder, forklift/jack, power hand tools, computer, power machinery, box cutter, respirator, hearing protection.
REQUIRED PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT: Steel Toe shoes, gloves.
Major Physical Tasks
- Forklift operation: Driving a forklift to retrieve and move pallets.
- Order picking: Using Vocollect system for a whole shift, lifting items weighing up to 44 lbs.
- Walking around the facility: throughout the shift.
- Repalletizing: consolidating items or replacing a broken pallet.
