Job summary

Church & Dwight is seeking a DC Material Handler in Fostoria, OH to load/unload goods, move pallets, and build orders for distribution. The role requires forklift operation, familiarity with WMS, and adherence to HACCP and safety procedures.

Shift 985 runs Mon & Tue 3:30pm-11:30pm and Sat & Sun 6:00am-6:00pm; the position offers an hourly wage of $27.50 plus shift premiums. Candidates should be able to lift 50 pounds and work weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a High School Diploma / GED required.
• At least six months of forklift experience.
• WMS experience preferred for efficient operations.
• Working knowledge of material handling equipment.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload finished goods and transfer orders to customers and distribution centers.
• Build pick pallets according to the pick list and maintain accurate paperwork.
• Operate sit-down, stand-up, and pallet rider forklifts safely and efficiently.
• Perform daily preventive maintenance inspections of equipment.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow HACCP guidelines.
• Work any shift during the week, including weekends, as required.
• Use SOAP/SOPs and follow facility rules to preserve product quality.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

DC Material Handler working schedule is for Shift 985: Monday & Tuesday 3:30pm-11:30pm, Saturday & Sunday 6:00am-6:00pm

The hourly wage for this position is $27.50 plus shift premiums

ROLE SUMMARY

To load and unload finished goods, stock transfer orders, and transfers to Church & Dwight customers and outside Distribution Centers, build pick pallets.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operates sit down , stand up and pallet riders proficiently.
• Loads and unloads trailers and containers accurately and to specification.
• Builds pick pallets to pick list.
• Maintains necessary paperwork with a high degree of accuracy.
• Performs daily preventive maintenance inspections.
• Maintains a clean department by sweeping and dumping trash at the end of each shift.
• Works with Church & Dwight carriers and customers in a highly professional manner.
• Must be proficient in WMS to load or unload trucks in a timely manner.
• Read and understand the pick list by quantity, product type, lot codes, and product version codes to fill the customer's order
• Operate stretch wrapper to secure load on pallet
• Familiar with the plant food safety program and basic HACCP principles
• Work any shift during the week as well as weekends
• Use safe operating procedures and judgment
• Operate forklift in a safe and timely manner.
• Follow all facility rules to maintain quality and integrity of both raw materials and finished products
• Lift 50 pounds consistently

MINIMUM EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum of six months of forklift experience
