Job description

DC Material Handler - Nights - Thursday to Sunday

Join our team as a Material Handler at our Fostoria, OH warehouse. This full-time position involves loading, unloading, and building pallets of finished goods, with a starting hourly rate of $26.71 plus shift premiums. The shift runs from Thursday 6:00 pm to Sunday 2:00 am.

Essential Functions:

1. Operate sit-down, stand-up, and pallet rider forklifts proficiently.
2. Load and unload trailers and containers accurately.
3. Build pick pallets according to pick lists.
4. Maintain accurate paperwork.
5. Perform daily preventive maintenance inspections.
6. Maintain a clean work environment.
7. Work professionally with carriers and customers.
8. Use Warehouse Management System (WMS) to load/unload trucks efficiently.
9. Read and understand pick lists for order fulfillment.
10. Operate stretch wrappers to secure loads.
11. Follow plant food safety and HACCP principles.
12. Work flexible shifts including weekends.
13. Operate forklifts safely and responsibly.
14. Lift up to 50 pounds regularly.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Proficiency in forklift operation and safety procedures.
• Understanding of food safety standards and HACCP.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends.
• Physical ability to lift 50 pounds.

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least six months of forklift experience preferred.
• WMS experience is a plus.
