Job summary

The Home Depot is seeking a Maintenance Technician to oversee, maintain, and repair equipment and facility systems in a large warehouse environment. You will work to ensure reliable operation of lifts and conveyors while supporting building infrastructure.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting electric lift equipment and conveyor systems, performing preventative maintenance, and providing equipment status reports.

Qualifications

• Trade school degree or equivalent in related field.
• Experience on conveyor systems preferred.
• Able to work a flexible schedule including weekends, evenings, and holidays.

Job description

Position Purpose

Oversees, maintains, and repairs equipment as well as other facility structures in a complex, warehouse environment.

Key Responsibilities

• 50% Troubleshoots and repairs electric lift equipment, conveyor systems, as well as technical, mechanical hydraulic and pheumatic issues where needed. Understands and troubleshoots conveyor operating system logic
• 20% Performs preventative maintenance as well as necessary modifications on electric lift equipment, conveyor systems and buildings.
• 10% Provides equipment status report, including details of unusual maintenance problems.
• 10% Follows all safety guidelines established by manufacturer, Home Depot, or government agencies. Adheres to all safety codes and OSHA standards
• 10% Maintains safe and clean working environment, performing daily cleanup of work areas

Travel Requirements

Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.

Physical Requirements

Must continuously stand or walk or regularly requires lifting/handling/carrying material or equipment of moderate weight (8-20 pounds).

Working Conditions

Typically in a comfortable environment but with regular exposure to factors such as temperature extremes, moving machinery, loud noise, and fumes which cause noticeable discomfort or a moderate risk of accident or illness.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be eighteen years of age or older.
• Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
