Job summary

The Home Depot in Dundalk, MD is seeking an Equipment Maintenance Technician to oversee, maintain, and repair lift equipment, conveyors, and related systems in a busy warehouse.

You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic issues, and provide status updates while following safety guidelines and OSHA standards. Some weekend/evening work and light travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Must be eighteen years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair electric lift equipment and conveyors, plus mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic issues.
• Perform preventative maintenance and modifications on equipment and buildings.
• Provide equipment status reports and document maintenance problems.
• Follow safety guidelines and OSHA standards; maintain clean work areas.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment with daily cleanup.

Oversees, maintains, and repairs equipment as well as other facility structures in a complex, warehouse environment.

Key Responsibilities

• 50% Troubleshoots and repairs electric lift equipment, conveyor systems, as well as technical, mechanical hydraulic and pheumatic issues where needed. Understands and troubleshoots conveyor operating system logic
• 20% Performs preventative maintenance as well as necessary modifications on electric lift equipment, conveyor systems and buildings.
• 10% Provides equipment status report, including details of unusual maintenance problems.
• 10% Follows all safety guidelines established by manufacturer, Home Depot, or government agencies. Adheres to all safety codes and OSHA standards
• 10% Maintains safe and clean working environment, performing daily cleanup of work areas

Travel Requirements

• Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.

Physical Requirements

• Typically in a comfortable environment but with regular exposure to factors such as temperature extremes, moving machinery, loud noise, and fumes which cause noticeable discomfort or a moderate risk of accident or illness.
