Job summary

Ross Stores is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Supervisor to oversee maintenance of all operating equipment and facility systems in a large distribution environment. This role emphasizes preventive maintenance, safety compliance, and cost‑effective operations, requiring full‑time in‑office presence.

Responsibilities include supervising maintenance mechanics, utilizing CMMS for work orders, coordinating with vendors, and ensuring OSHA standards are met.

Qualifications

• 8-10 years maintenance experience in large distribution center and/or manufacturing environment.
• 2+ years of supervisory experience in a large distribution center and/or manufacturing environment.
• Technically proficient in mechanical and electrical maintenance.
• Ability to review and critique schematic diagrams.
• Comprehensive knowledge of CMMS.
• Knowledge of 5-S practices preferred
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Extensive knowledge of OSHA standards and regulations.
• Awareness of state/local regulations, and code requirements
• Must have outstanding interpersonal, and communication skills (oral/written)
• Strong organizational skills.
• Proficient P.C. skills, to include Microsoft Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the maintenance of all operating equipment and facility systems.
• Train and develop maintenance personnel and ensure skill requirements.
• Utilize CMMS to its full capability.
• Coordinate with outside vendors on construction projects and ensure safety compliance.
• Maintain back stock of maintenance parts and optimize inventory.
• Ensure contractual compliance for landscape, pest control, and other services.
• Collaborate with safety committee on site safety.
