Job summary

Runnings is hiring Distribution Center Loaders to efficiently load and unload products into dry van trailers, including flatbeds. Typical shift hours run from 3:00 P.M. to 1:00 A.M., four days a week (Mon-Thur) with possible Friday/Saturday peak hours.

Responsibilities include scanning merchandise, verifying counts, and ensuring safe, accurate palletization, weight distribution, and secure shipments. Prior forklift experience and basic computer skills are required, with a High School diploma

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Prior warehouse experience preferred.
• Prior Forklift experience required.
• 1 year prior shipping and receiving experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trailers, including flatbeds.
• Maintain proper trailer weight distribution while maximizing space.
• Perform piece counts to verify accuracy.
• Scan merchandise into inventory using scanning equipment.
• Scan product and pallets to truck IDs in an accurate manner.
• Print price tags and price merchandise accordingly.
• Break down merchandise into smaller quantities for shipping to retail locations.
• Assist with floor loaded shipments, both inbound and outbound.
• Responsible for accurate allocation of quantities.
• Submit packing slips and freight bills as necessary.
• Cross check quantities to packing slip, making necessary notations when needed.
• Load merchandise onto proper pallet, shrink wrap when necessary.
• Properly secure shipments to prevent product and trailer damage.
• Practice safety in the workplace by using safe work habits with a safety-first mindset.

Job description

Distribution Center Loaders are responsible for efficiently loading and unloading products into and from dry van trailers including flatbeds. This position will be scheduled work hours generally between 3:00 P.M. and 1:00 A.M. - 4 days per week (Monday through Thursday). Occasional hours may be required on Friday and/or Saturday during peak times.
Pay Range: $18.00 to $20.00 per hour

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Loading & unloading of trailers, including flatbeds
2. Maintain proper trailer weight distribution while maximizing trailer cubes/space
3. Perform piece counts to verify accuracy
4. Scan merchandise into inventory using scanning equipment.
5. Scan product and pallets to truck Id’s in an accurate manner.
6. Print price tags and price merchandise accordingly.
