Job summary

Dexterra Group, via its affiliate CMI Management LLC, seeks a Master Electrician for high voltage electrical installation and maintenance at a Washington, DC site. Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, testing, and repair of diverse electrical systems and equipment.

Requirements include a High School diploma, 5+ years of electrical repair experience (federal facility preferred), and a valid DC Master Electrician license.

Qualifications

• Ability to effectively verbally communicate.
• Minimum 5 years of providing electrical repair services preferably within a federal facility.
• Must be a licensed Master Electrician (DC).
• Must possess troubleshooting skills for high, medium, and low voltage electrical systems typically found in large commercial structures.
• Sound ability to troubleshoot, maintain, and repair electrical distribution systems, motors, controls, and miscellaneous electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Receives assignments verbally and by work order and will determine the safest best methods to accomplish assignments.
• Responsible for electrical preventive maintenance
• Testing and repair of the electrical systems
• Installing or repairing equipment such as generators, transformers, switchboards, controllers, circuit breakers, motors, heating units, conduit systems, or other transmission equipment
• Working from blueprints, drawings, layouts, or other specifications, locating and diagnosing trouble in the electrical system or equipment, calculating load requirements, and using electrician's tools and testing instruments.
