Job description

Key Job Tasks:

  • Must perform all manifest functions required to ship small parcel products, print manifests and any required reports, operate terminals, PCs, small printers and scanning equipment; print and apply shipping documents to packages and cartons.
  • Load packages and cartons into trailers.
  • Notify supervisor of production, quality, recording, ticketing, or labeling problems. Communicate problems and issues to fellow associates.
  • Use non-powered equipment (pallet dolly) to route, position, or stage goods; create required job-related paperwork.
  • Receive and sign for product into the sample cage area, verify receivers (P.O., item, count) through JBA using a computer terminal.
  • Reconcile DRP order receipts, pick, inspect and pack salesperson’s samples from a variety of requests, complete carrier shipping papers (UPS, Airborne, etc.); make daily adjustments in JBA for sample cage inventory moves.
  • Conduct cycle counts and make adjustments in JBA.
  • Assist with mailings of catalogs or other collateral material to sales force or telemarketing accounts.
  • Perform quality control inspections where specified by AQL instructions.
  • Create required paperwork essential to the maintenance of master files and records.
  • Utilize quality control equipment and procedures to measure, test, appraise and verify the bar codes physical properties, weight, dimensions and characteristics of goods, packaging, corrugated and supplies.
  • Process both customer orders and returns with RF gun skills.
  • Build cartons, pick items to cartons, apply labels and tickets, take item pick direction from system terminal, and operate system terminals, printers and RF devices on both levels of the pick locations.
  • Pick product in split or full case areas plus reserve storage locations as required.
  • Stage product at end of pick line, build pallets at diverters and help load trucks as required.
  • Perform verification checks for carton labeling, contents, piece count or quality.
  • Remove orders from conveyors and diverters as needed, build pallets with RF gun for all orders and memos and move to proper locations and locate.
  • Check orders and memos to make sure they are correct.
  • Help load trucks as required can move to order picker as needed to fill customer orders.
  • Keep supervisor informed of any equipment or quality issues as they arise.
  • Make adjustments as needed; Keeps work area safe and clean.
  • Performs other related duties assigned by supervisor.
