DC Facility Lead Engineer – High-Density AI Data Centers

Job summary

GMI Cloud seeks a DC Facility Lead Engineer to oversee MEP infrastructure for global data centers, with emphasis on advanced cooling (CDUs) and power distribution (Busways). You will develop operational docs and drive preventive maintenance for 100% uptime.

The role requires leadership in site safety, SOPs/EOPs/MOPs, and collaboration with the global infra team to optimize capacity and efficiency in high-density AI environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Facility Management, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in facility engineering, preferably data centers MEP operations or critical facilities.
• Hands-on experience with high-density power distribution (Track Busways, RPPs, UPS).
• Strong knowledge of liquid cooling loops, CDUs, chillers, pumps.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations and maintenance of MEP infrastructure.
• Direct responsibility for high-density AI data center equipment: Busways, CDUs, BMS/DCIM.
• Lead incident management, RCA, and safety compliance.
• Manage external vendors and contractors for routine servicing with safety standards.
• Create and audit SOPs, EOPs, MOPs for live maintenance.
• Monitor PUE and cooling flow rates; plan capacity upgrades with global team.
