Job summary

Gimlet Labs, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Facilities Operations Lead to own the critical facilities operating model for Gimlet data centers and high-density AI infrastructure deployments.

You will ensure facility-side systems are ready, monitored, maintained, and operating within the required envelope. You will focus on the liquid-cooled infrastructure, including water loops, CDUs, flow and temperature controls, leak detection, and BMS/DCIM telemetry.

Qualifications

• Experience in data center facilities operations or critical facilities engineering.
• Experience operating liquid-cooled, high-density compute infrastructure.
• Familiarity with facility water systems, CDUs, heat rejection, leak detection, and water-quality controls.
• Experience using BMS, DCIM, EPMS to monitor and respond to facility conditions.
• Ability to create and execute operational procedures with focus on safety and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Build the facilities operations model for current and future Gimlet sites.
• Translate liquid-cooled platform requirements into practical site envelopes.
• Own monitoring and response for facility telemetry including CDU status and alarms.
• Coordinate with colocation providers, OEMs, and site teams to ensure readiness.
• Create and maintain SOPs, MOPs, EOPs, and incident response procedures.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance and vendor responses for cooling and water systems.
• Lead root cause analysis for thermal, leak, or power events and drive durable actions.
