Job summary

The Nature Conservancy seeks a Policy Advisor for Natural Climate Solutions in Washington, DC. You will translate forestry research into a practical federal and state policy agenda, working with an interdisciplinary team to advance climate-smart forest management and carbon sequestration.

You will build partnerships with government, nonprofit, and industry leaders, develop evidence-based policy strategies, and drive adoption of priority policies at federal and state levels while navigating

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in political science, climate, natural resource management or environmental policy or related field.
• 5 years of policy analysis and government relations experience.
• Knowledge of public and private programs and incentives, including carbon markets.
• Experience working with partners, government agencies and coalitions in forestry or natural climate solutions.
• Analytical and project management experience in unstructured environments.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and implement goals.
• Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
