This role leads an hourly team and influences the entire distribution team to operate efficiently, safely, and productively. Responsibilities include managing 20 to 30 hourly associates, ensuring accurate merchandise handling, developing team goals, and overseeing hiring, evaluation, discipline, and termination processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing Process (45%): Ensures operational procedures are followed, recommends process improvements, and evaluates work methods for efficiency.
- Coaching and Developing Associates (25%): Guides daily operations, provides training and feedback, conducts evaluations, and handles HR functions such as hiring and discipline.
- Drives Results (15%): Maintains inventory accuracy, reviews reports, and improves productivity and quality metrics.
- Business Planning (15%): Coordinates operations, reviews reports, and plans staffing to meet business goals.
- Additional Duties: Performs other tasks as assigned by management.
Management Structure
- Typically reports to the Operations Manager.
- Supervises work activities of team members, including planning, monitoring, and reviewing.
Requirements
- Must be 18 or older, authorized to work in the U.S., flexible with shifts, and able to relocate.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, proficiency in Microsoft Office, experience with Warehouse Management Systems, and 3+ years supervisory experience.
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or GED; 2 years of work experience preferred.
