Position Purpose

The Rental Repair Supervisor is responsible for the success of assigned functions within a complex Rental Operations Facility (ROF) to ensure that it is an outstanding place to work. The Rental Repair Supervisor will be responsible for fleet readiness, customer and store owned repairs, apprentice technician training, and mobile Rental technician productivity. The Rental Repair Supervisor works with the Rental Branch Manager to develop strategies and objectives to maximize productivity and leverage expenses for the ROF. Rental Repair Supervisors must analyze trends, solve problems, and motivate and develop themselves and associates to maximize contribution to the ROF's success.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Supervise Associates: Supervises and monitors personnel work assignments, work flow, performance, and work standards, accuracy, and productivity. Follows up on payroll record keeping and reporting. Writes and conducts employee appraisals and reviews. Administers progressive discipline, counseling, warnings, and employee terminations.
  2. Direct and Assist: Provides a hands-on approach in organizing, scheduling personnel, and directing daily activities such as order filling, stocking, shipping, receiving, and inventory control.
  3. Communication and Collaboration: Maintains open communication channels between the facility and corporate office to facilitate efficient operations.
  4. Manage Budget: Adheres to budget requirements and works toward achieving performance goals.
  5. Recruiting and Hiring: Manages facility personnel responsibilities including recruiting, new hire orientation, and onboarding.
Reporting and Travel
  • This position reports to the Rental Branch Manager.
  • Up to 12 direct reports.
  • Overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
Physical and Working Conditions
  • Requires intermittent physical exertion such as walking, standing, climbing, lifting, etc.
  • Typically located indoors with potential exposure to dust, fumes, temperature extremes, loud noise, etc.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Legally permitted to work in the U.S.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and presentation software.
  • Ability to collaborate, analyze financial documents, and handle disputes.
  • Excellent communication skills.
Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 3 years of work experience.
