Job summary

Best Buy Distribution Center is seeking an Area Manager to lead a Delivery Distribution Center (DDC), overseeing receipt, storage, and distribution to stores, warehouses, and delivery services. The role uses behavior-based coaching to ensure safe, accurate, and productive duties while developing teams to foster continuous improvement and engagement aligned with company values.

You will hire, coach, and manage an hourly staff, set tactical direction for the DDC workforce, and partner with peers

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in distribution, operations, warehousing, or related field.
• 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience.
• Associate degree or higher in business, logistics or related field.

Responsibilities

• Hires, coaches and manages performance of an hourly staff.
• Provides tactical direction for an hourly workforce within a DDC.
• Partners internally with peers and leadership to meet building productivity, safety and quality goals.
• Facilitates change and sets objectives for warehouse operations to create continuous improvement.
• Establishes and maintains a positive work environment aligned with Best Buy's Values.
• Maintains a positive work environment where employee backgrounds are respected.
• Provides avenues for employees to give feedback on operations and culture.
• Participates in special projects, company initiatives and leadership duties.
