Job summary

RBS is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer with a focus on Db2 to design, implement, and maintain Db2-related infrastructure in a security-conscious, resilient environment. You will contribute to engineering practices and collaborate with teams across the bank to deliver scalable products.

You will automate testing and live deployment via CI/CD pipelines, provide operational support, and help users adopt the product while continually improving solutions using observability data.

Qualifications

• Experience in Db2 database design and administration.
• Automation scripting in Python or Shell.
• Familiarity with modern infrastructure as code tooling; IBM Db2 toolset is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the selection, creation and maintenance of technologies for customers and architecture outcomes.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to design and support engineered products and respond to feedback.
• Develop self-service infrastructure products within a team.
• Deliver infrastructure as code solutions.
• Assist users to adopt products and gather feedback.
• Provide operational support for pattern or product issues.
• Drive delivery of ideas through product features.
• Advise on Db2 for z/OS design principles and best practices.
