Job summary

Vistra Nuclear Operations Company seeks a Warehouse Operator at the Davis-Besse site in Ohio. The role involves receiving, storing, issuing and relocating materials, tools, and equipment in accordance with company procedures while maintaining accurate inventory records.

You will operate forklifts and pallet jacks, inspect shipments, prepare shipping documents, assemble storage racks, train junior staff, and ensure clean, safe working conditions. Collaboration with colleagues is essential.

Qualifications

• Receive, identify, label, issue, store, retrieve, load, unload, move and relocate materials and equipment following procedures.
• Inspect incoming shipments for damage and verify against orders.
• Prepare bills of lading and related shipping/receiving documents.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and control stock locations.

Responsibilities

Job Summary

Under directive supervision, receives, stores, retrieves, issues, counts, relocates and conveys material, tools, parts, supplies and equipment to designated locations and employees in accordance with standard Company practices and procedures

Job Description

• Receive, identify, label, issue, store, retrieve, load, unload, move, and relocate materials, tools, supplies, and equipment according to department procedures.


• Operate material-handling equipment such as hand trucks, pallet jacks, electric dollies, forklifts, and other lifting devices to transport and store materials safely.


• Open containers, remove strapping, secure loads, and record inventory information such as quantities, locations, and shelf life while completing related clerical tasks.


• Inspect incoming shipments for damage, verify items against purchase orders, and label or tag materials appropriately.


• Conduct physical inventories by counting or weighing materials and report inventory results according to established procedures.


• Prepare bills of lading and other shipping and receiving documentation.


• Assemble, relocate, or adjust racks, shelving, cabinets, and other storage equipment as needed.


• Use power tools safely to complete assigned tasks.


• Train and provide guidance to employees in lower classifications.


• Maintain accurate records related to inventory, shipping, receiving, and warehouse activities.


• Keep work areas and equipment clean, organized, and in good working condition.


• Work collaboratively with employees in higher classifications and perform other related duties as assigned.
