Job summary

Automation & Factory Solutions (AFS) is seeking an Outside Sales Account Manager to grow our business across the greater Dayton, OH area. You will strengthen existing customer relationships and develop new accounts as a trusted consultant offering automation solutions.

The role offers a remote arrangement with frequent travel to customer sites in the Dayton metro area. You must reside within a reasonable distance to the territory to support ongoing customer engagement.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of technical sales experience in electrical industrial automation, electrical controls, or a related field
• Knowledge of sales principles, strategies, and business development
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Salesforce CRM
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Professional, self-directed, dependable, and highly organized, with strong time management and the ability to balance multiple priorities

Responsibilities

• Build and manage strategic customer relationships, developing a deep understanding of customer businesses, stakeholders, strategies, and challenges
• Engage customers regularly to communicate AFS’s value propositions and technical solutions
• Drive account growth by identifying new applications, business opportunities, and strategic partnerships
• Develop and maintain comprehensive account knowledge, including customer business performance, future-state plans, and competitive relationships
• Collaborate with Application Engineers, CSMs, CSRs, and other internal stakeholders to address customer needs and resolve issues
• Coordinate customer requests and opportunities to ensure timely follow-through and exceptional service
