White Plains Hospital Medical Center is seeking a Wound Care Therapist to provide wound care within the physical therapy or nursing scope, for inpatients and outpatients. The role requires evaluating and treating wounds, documenting findings, and coordinating with a multidisciplinary team in a day-shift capacity at the White Plains campus.

Responsibilities include assessments, debridement when needed, and educating patients and staff on wound care practices.

Formación

• Education: Graduate of accredited college program in Physical Therapy; B.A./B.S. in Physical Therapy or higher degree or graduate of accredited college program in Nursing.

Responsabilidades

• Performs wound care for in- and outpatients within PT or nursing scope of practice.
• Assesses patients and plans comprehensive care and discharge planning.
• Maintains and updates patient records and documents wound assessments and progress.
• Coordinates with physicians, nurses, and other health professionals to optimize care.
• Supervises Wound Care Technicians and educates staff and students.
