Job summary

UPMC Hillman Cancer Center at UPMC Shadyside is recruiting two full-time daytime Solid Tumor Oncology Hospitalists to provide inpatient care for adults with solid tumor malignancies.

The positions require board-certified or board-eligible Internal Medicine physicians, daytime 12-hour shifts, collaboration with oncology teams, and handoffs to overnight teams. Location Pittsburgh, PA; licensure eligible in PA; comprehensive benefit package included.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Completion of an Internal Medicine residency.
• Board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine.
• Eligibility for an unrestricted Pennsylvania medical license.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage inpatient adults with solid tumor malignancies.
• Coordinate care with outpatient oncology teams and hand off to overnight team.
• Provide inpatient medical management and respond to clinical changes.
• Order diagnostics and develop treatment plans.
• Communicate with oncology colleagues and other services.
