Qualifications

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Ability to follow recipes, measure ingredients, and convert quantities for large batches.
• Dependability, integrity, and a commitment to excellent customer service.
• Basic computer skills and comfort using a POS system.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform frequent standing, bending, twisting, and other physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Prepare menu items by following recipes while ensuring meals are ready for serving times and supporting special diets and events.
• Help keep the kitchen clean and organized, including storage areas, using FIFO practices, and HACCP logs and daily production records.
• Maintain food safety and compliance by following food-safety steps and completing logs and production records.
• Communicate supply needs, customer feedback, and updates to the team and supervisors.
• Stock and serve items during meal service and assist with prep lists and freezer pulls.
• Jump in where needed—helping teammates and training new team members.
• Operate the Point-of-Sale system to process student transactions and manage accounts.
• Follow cash handling procedures and reconcile daily transactions.
• Contribute to a friendly, welcoming environment for students and staff with excellent customer service.
