Job summary

The Nutrition Group is seeking a substitute food service worker to join a school kitchen on an as-needed basis. Work schedules are daylight hours, Monday through Friday, with no evenings or weekends, and holidays off.

You will assist with cooking and food preparation, portioning and serving, sanitation in line with USDA and state guidelines, HACCP compliance, cost and inventory monitoring, cash handling, and cleaning duties.

Qualifications

• Must obtain clearances and pass background checks.
• Ability to read recipes and basic math skills required.
• A positive and consistent work ethic.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.
• A willingness to learn and grow within your position.
• Food service experience preferred.
• Computer literacy preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

About the Job:
