Job summary

Lincoln Public Schools Lincoln School K-8 in Lincoln, Massachusetts, seeks a Day Custodian for week-day coverage from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. with potential overtime as required.

This union/benefited position involves routine care and maintenance of school facilities and grounds, including cleaning, minor repairs, and setup for activities. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and physical ability to perform heavy manual tasks, with two years of related experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of two years of relevant experience preferred.
• General knowledge of cleaning materials and methods.
• Ability to perform moderately heavy manual labor including lift and carry 50 lbs.
• Ability to climb step and extension ladders.

Responsibilities

• Clean rooms, furniture, washrooms and toilets.
• Polish furniture, floors and metal work.
• Refill and clean water bubblers.
• Move and set up furniture for day or evening activities.
• Replace light bulbs and perform minor repairs and preventative maintenance.
• Maintain cleanliness of grounds and report major repairs to Facilities Director.
