Job summary

Potbelly Sandwich Works is seeking daytime team members for the first shift in Maryland. This role focuses on friendly, fast-paced customer service and food prep in a clean, welcoming environment.

You will greet guests, assemble meals, handle cash, and contribute to a high-energy team that opens and maintains food stations early in the day. Candidates should be at least 16 years old with strong communication skills and a customer-first attitude.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Friendly, customer-first mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Work multiple stations (load, dress, shakes, cash, prep, front) as directed by a Shift Leader or Manager.
• Comply with health and safety standards for food, cleanliness and safety.
• Restock food line, chips and cooler.
• Prepare quality finished products (sandwiches, salads, soups, cookies, ice cream) efficiently.
• If 18 or older, use of the automatic slicer to prep food items.
• Operate cash register and follow cash handling procedures.
• Handle customer complaints/issues and assist with delivery/catering orders.
