Job summary

Sentara Foot & Ankle Specialists Belleharbour in Suffolk, VA seeks a full-time Referral Coordinator to streamline referrals between patients, PCPs, specialists and insurers. Mon-Fri, 8a–4:30p, dayshift; no nights or weekends.

The ideal candidate will have knowledge of medical terminology, EPIC, and insurance verification. A High School Diploma is required; health-care office experience is preferred. Competitive benefits and growth opportunities available.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• One year of experience with insurance verification/referral processing preferred.
• Knowledge of EPIC preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate referral process between patients, PCPs, specialty providers and insurers.
• Manage pre-authorization approvals for drugs and other services.
• Maintain organized referral records and documentation.
