Job summary

UPMC’s Department of Orthopaedic Surgery is hiring a temporary, full-time Professional Staff Nurse, OP to join their team at Shadyside. The position is daylight hours, typically 7:30am–4pm, Monday through Friday, with weekly travel to the Passavant office.

The role supports clinical staff, maintains collaborative relationships with physicians and patients, and aims to achieve optimal outcomes across the continuum of care. BSN preferred; RN licensure required; prior nursing experience preferred.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in the state with active license
• BSN preferred
• Ability to work in a team and provide patient care

Responsibilities

• Participates in department quality improvement and supports patient satisfaction.
• Builds collaborative relationships with physicians and staff.
• Plans and delivers patient care with independent judgment.
• Documents patient status and communicates with families.
