Job summary

UPMC Magee Women's Specialty in Erie, PA seeks a Medical Assistant to support OB/GYN providers with rooming patients, phlebotomy, injections, and related back/front office duties. Some local travel to other offices may be required. Daytime hours, no weekend shifts.

Prior Medical Assistant experience preferred. Applicants will be placed on the Medical Assistant Career Ladder based on experience and education. Training on HIPAA and infection control is expected.

Qualifications

• Active Medical Assistant certification preferred.
• Experience with rooming patients and front office tasks.
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations.
• Ability to perform phlebotomy and basic procedures.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and collect vitals per protocol.
• Assist with injections, phlebotomy, ECG, and routine procedures.
• Handle front desk tasks and patient education per provider guidance.
• Maintain clean, stocked exam rooms and comply with OSHA/CLIA.
