Job Description
- Seeking (1) Daytime Maintenance/Custodian for Chino Valley Unified School District. Full‑time position with benefits. The district operates a four‑day work week Monday through Thursday.
REPORTS TO: Maintenance Director. FLSA STATUS: Non‑Exempt

Position Summary
- Manual labor in cleaning and maintenance of buildings, grounds, and equipment.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Cleans district offices, classrooms, sidewalks, and other areas; sweeps, dusts, mops, vacuums, waxes, and polishes floors.
- Reports safety hazards and needs for repairs.
- Performs ground duties such as mowing, trimming, planting, and watering.
- Performs maintenance tasks such as changing lights and minor plumbing.
- Assists maintenance team on renovations and projects.
- Strives to promote safety, health, and comfort of students and employees.
Qualifications
- Physical ability for considerable activities in varied environments.
- Works under pressure and can climb/stand at ladder heights up to 30’.
- Can lift 50 lbs (or more as needed). Must possess or obtain an Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance card through DPS.
- One year custodial experience.
- High School or Trade School degree preferred.
Work Conditions
- No or slight physical risks; basic safety precautions (gloves, glasses, etc.) required.
- Exposure to hazardous materials may occur; follow detailed safety precautions.
Physical Effort
- Mostly routine tasks with occasional lifting under 10 lbs.
- Regular standing, bending, and occasional climbing.
Employment Info
Full‑time, at‑will employment. Salary: $15.75 to $18.28 per hour.
Job Requirements
- High School/Trade School degree preferred.
- Citizenship, residency, or work visa required.
