Job summary

Monarch Landing in Naperville, IL is seeking a hospitality-focused Prep Cook to join our team. This role performs full-scope, hands-on production cooking in the Community Culinary Services Department, maintaining a superior level of quality service and cleanliness at all times.

You will set up stations, prep ingredients, label and store inventory, assist in breakfast through dinner and catering, and follow safety, sanitation, and food handling procedures.

Qualifications

• Six months of high-volume food prep experience preferred in hospitality.
• ServSafe or equivalent sanitation certification within 90 days of hire.
• Knowledge of kitchen equipment operation and basic maintenance.
• Understanding of safety, sanitation and food handling procedures.
• Ability to handle knives safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Sets up station according to daily production needs.
• Prepares ingredients for meals including chopping, portioning, and measuring.
• Labels and storesInventory items properly.
• Assists in preparing breakfast, lunch, dinner and catering services.
• Follows food handling guidelines, monitors temperatures, minimizes waste.
• Maintains kitchen sanitation and equipment cleaning schedules.
