HomeGrown is a daytime eatery in Springdale, Arkansas, part of Thrive Restaurant Group. The Line Cook will handle prep work and the cook's station, ensuring recipes, quality and timely presentation. This high-volume scratch kitchen emphasizes teamwork, kindness, and learning across kitchen roles.

You will learn recipes, maintain product quality, and work with a team to deliver consistent, great-tasting dishes with efficient service and a friendly, welcoming atmosphere. End shift by 3:30 pm.

Qualifications

• A positive attitude and desire to learn and grow.
• Able to place plates, utensils, pans and cases on high and low shelves.
• Reading, writing and verbal communication skills required.
• Ability to follow recipes exactly as written.
• Ability to work fast, safe, efficient, and accurately for periods of up to 10 hours per day.
• Attention to detail.
• Able to work efficiently and communicate effectively in a high stress, fast paced environment.
• Willingness to help with dishes, prep cook responsibilities, and assist other stations on the line as needed.
• Capable of using knives, slicing equipment and other food preparation equipment.
• Mobility required during the entire shift.
• Ability to transport cases up to 50 pounds as many as 20 times per day.
• Able to respond in emergency situations to avoid imminent dangers to self and others.
• Ability to focus on multiple tasks at one time at a fast pace for consecutive hours, daily.

Responsibilities

• Prepare menu items according to HomeGrown's recipes, plate presentations and specifications.
• Complete all assigned prep work, following recipes exactly as written.
• Set up workstation and practice sanitary and safe food handling at all times.
• Clean and sanitize the work area before, during and after shift.
• Complete assigned daily and weekly cleaning projects.
