Job summary

Foxtown Brewing in Mequon, WI is seeking a friendly Host to welcome guests, manage the waiting list, and guide them to their tables or waiting area. You’ll stay on your feet during busy shifts and help set a positive tone from the moment guests arrive.

Responsibilities include greeting guests, providing menus, answering questions, seating guests, keeping rotation fair for servers, holding tables for reservations, answering calls, and addressing guest concerns by informing management.

Qualifications

As a Host, you will be responsible for greeting guests as they enter and showing them to their table or waiting area. To do well in this role, you should be comfortable standing for long periods and managing a very busy shift.

Responsibilities

• Greeting guests as they enter and putting them on a waiting list as necessary.
• Providing guests with menus and answering any initial questions.
• Seating guests at tables or in waiting areas.
• Assigning guests to tables they prefer, while keeping table rotation in mind so that servers receive an even amount of customers.
• Holding tables to ensure reservations are able to be set upon arrival.
• Answering the phone, redirecting inquiries to the appropriate person.
• Engaging with guests to ensure they’re happy with food and service.
• Responding to complaints, helping to resolve them by notifying management.
