Job summary

Skilled Wound Care is seeking Emergency Medicine Physicians to join a Birmingham, AL practice focused on wound care in skilled nursing facilities. The role offers a Monday–Friday daytime schedule with no night shifts and no on-call requirements, available in full-time or part-time arrangements.

You will use your procedural skills regularly, perform debridement and bedside procedures, and contribute to a calmer clinical setting while maintaining autonomy in clinical decisions and patient care.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Unrestricted medical license in the state of practice (or eligibility).
• DEA license (or eligibility to obtain).
• Wound care training provided if not already experienced.

Responsibilities

• Lead wound care initiatives in skilled nursing facilities across the area.
• Perform surgical debridement and bedside procedures as part of daily practice.
• Deliver high-quality patient care with a calmer clinical setting.
• Contribute to collaborative care and follow patients through healing.
