Job summary

Urban Tailz in Chicago is seeking a part-time, daytime dog walker to care for clients' dogs on weekday walks. You will lead 30–60 minute walks, monitor health, and provide updates to owners.

The role includes paid training, PTO accrual, 401(k) eligibility after six months, and opportunities for overnight pet sitting.

Qualifications

• Availability Monday-Friday, 10AM-4PM (required).
• Age 18+ and U.S. work authorization.
• Reliable commute to Chicago service areas listed.
• Ability to work in all weather and walk several hours per day.
• Smartphone with data plan for communication and tracking.
• Reliable access to a vehicle is preferred but not required. Candidates without a vehicle will be considered for smaller, walkable routes.
• Strong communication and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead 30-60 minute walks and active play sessions.
• Prepare the dogs in each household to outside with appropriate safety gear.
• Administer food, water, or medication per client instructions.
• Clean up after pups outdoors and indoors as needed.
• Send updates/photos and log behavior or health notes.

Role Overview

As a part-time, W2 Daytime Dog Walker, you'll ensure our clients' dogs are happy, healthy, and well cared for during weekday walks. This role includes benefits such as Paid Time Off (PTO) and 401(k) payroll contributions; perfect for animal lovers who thrive in a reliable routine.

We're Looking For

Pay & Perks

• Paid per walk (rate varies by visit length and location).
• Typical earnings: $250-$350 per week (~15-20 hours).
• $300 bonus after a successful 90 day review.
• PTO accrual and 401(k) eligibility after 6 months.
