Job summary

Tailchasers is seeking a reliable Midday Dog Walker to cover Palatine, Arlington Heights, and Mount Prospect. The role offers weekday walks from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM with compensation of $16–$20 per hour, depending on experience.

You will walk dogs for 30–60 minutes, provide potty breaks, fresh water, and affection, and send timely updates and photos to pet parents. Great for stay-at-home parents, students, or retirees who enjoy an active outdoors role.

Qualifications

• US citizen or legally authorized to work in the US
• Local full-time resident of the service area
• Comfortable with dogs of all sizes and breeds
• Able to lift 50 lbs without assistance
• Able to pass a background check

Responsibilities

• Visit clients’ homes between 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM

About the Role

As a Midday Dog Walker, you’ll provideweekday dog walks and potty breakswhile pet parents are at work. This position is perfect forstay-at-home parents, college students with daytime availability, part-time workers, or retireeslooking for rewarding, active work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Visit clients’ homesbetween10:00 AM and 3:00 PM
• Provide30–60 minute walks, potty breaks, fresh water, and lots of affection
• Follow each dog’s specific routine and any special instructions
• Send briefupdates and photosto pet parents after each visit
• Communicate any concerns or unusual behavior to the Tailchasers office

You’re a Great Fit If You:

• Are availableMonday–Friday from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM
• Have areliable car, valid driver’s license, and auto insurance
• Are comfortable withdogs of all sizes and breeds
• Are responsible, punctual, and detail-oriented
• Can work independently and communicate clearly via smartphone
• Can pass abackground check

Preferred (Not Required):

• Previous experience as adog walker, pet sitter, vet tech, or in other animal care roles
• Personal experience caring for your own pets

Here is what we ask you to do:

You willbe responsible for walking, feeding, watering, and keeping dogs safe and secure.
Have the ability to communicatevia smart phoneusing our company app.
Walk your regularly scheduled doggie friendson your route Monday through Friday from 10am until 3pm.

Some basic job requirements:

• US citizenor legally authorized to work in the US
• Over 21years of age
• Able to pass a background check
• Local full-time resident of our service area
• Comfortable handling both large and small dogs
• Comfortable walking outdoors in various weather conditions
• Able to lift50 lbs without assistance
• Able to commit to this position for 12 months from date of hire
• Available all weekdays from 10am to 3pm
• Possess your own reliable transportation
