Windy City Paws in Chicago is seeking an Evening and Weekend Dog Walker to join our trusted pet-care team. This part-time W-2 role includes paid training, PTO, and 401(k) contributions after eligibility, with opportunities to earn by walking dogs in our service areas.

Candidates should have reliable transportation, a smartphone, and the ability to work 3 weekday evenings plus some weekend hours, in all weather. Pay is per walk, with typical weekly earnings of $100–$150.

Qualifications

• Availability for at least 3 weekday evenings 5pm-8pm or 6pm-8pm (required).
• Some availability on Saturday and Sunday between 8am-8pm.
• Must have a vehicle and reliable commute to Chicago service areas.
• Must be eligible to work in the U.S. and be at least 18 years old.
• Capable of withstanding all weather conditions and several hours of walking daily.
• Own a smartphone with data plan for communication and tracking walks.

Responsibilities

• Prepare dogs for outside walks with safety gear.
• Lead 30-60 minute walks and active play sessions.
• Administer food, water, or medications per client instructions.
• Clean up after dogs indoors and outdoors as needed.
• Send updates/photos and log behavior or health notes.
• Build rapport with pets and their owners.

Windy City Paws is looking for a dependable person to join our professional team as an Evening and Weekend Dog Walker! This is a part-time, W-2 employed position that receives benefits like paid time off (PTO) and 401(k) payroll contributions. Additionally, you will be provided with paid training and education on dog and cat behavior throughout your tenure with us!

What You'll Do

• Prepare the dogs in each household to outside with appropriate safety gear
• Lead 30-60 minute walks and active play sessions
• Administer food, water, or medication per client instructions.
• Clean up after pups outdoors and indoors as needed.
• Send updates/photos and log behavior or health notes.
• Build strong rapport with pets and their owners

We're Looking For:

• Availability: at least 3 weekday evenings 5pm-8pm or 6pm-8pm (required)
• Availability: Some availability on Saturday & Sunday between 8am-8pm
• Vehicle Required
• Reliable commute to Chicago service areas listed above
• Eligibility to work in the U.S. and a minimum age of 18.
• Capable of withstanding all weather conditions outside and several hours of walking each day.
• A smartphone with a data plan for communication and tracking walks.
• Open to last-minute requests
• Willing to pick-up/ drop-off keys from the office; this could be multiple times throughout the week if necessary
• 3 Month Commitment Minimum

Pay & Perks

• Paid per walk (rate varies by visit length and location).
• Typical earnings: $100-$150 per week (~5-10 hours).
• PTO accrual and 401(k) eligibility after 6 months.
