Job summary

Water's Edge in Hesston, KS is seeking a Cook to oversee daily meal prep, inventory and sanitation. The position is flexible and can be filled as part-time or full-time, with hours from 7:00am to 3:00pm.

Responsibilities include following menus and dietary guidelines, maintaining food quality, and delivering meals to residents as needed. Ideal candidates are at least 18 years old with a year of cooking experience and a helpful background in related education.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Prefer one year or more of cooking experience.
• Additional education in cooking or related field is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Cook according to menus, recipes, and diet sheets.
• Ensure food is ready at the proper time and temperature.
• Follow HACCP standards for handling, serving and storing food.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in assigned areas.
• Monitor temperatures and portions to avoid waste.
• Serve and deliver meals to residents when time permits.
