Job summary

Water's Edge is seeking a Cook to join our dining team at Lakeside Village in Hesston, KS. The role covers daily meal preparation, food storage, and keeping the kitchen clean while following health and safety regulations.

The position is flexible for full-time or part-time work, with day hours from 7:00am to 3:00pm. We prefer candidates with at least one year of cooking experience and knowledge of Serv Safe guidelines.

Qualifications

• Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age or older.
• Prefer one year or more of cooking experience.
• Additional education in cooking or related field is helpful.
• Work a minimum of every other weekend and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Cooks food according to menus, recipes, and diet sheets.
• Adheres to residents’ dietary needs as specified on their diet sheets.
• Ensures proper timing and temperature of prepared foods.
• Maintains HACCP standards for handling and serving food.
• Manages food portions to reduce waste and keep within budget.
• Cleans and sanitizes kitchen areas and equipment.
• Assists in delivering meals to dining areas.
