Job summary

Burlington Public Schools, Pine Glen Elementary School, in Burlington, MA, seeks an Assistant Cafeteria Manager for a permanent 30-hour work week (7:30am–1:30pm). Reporting to the Director of Food Services, you will help operate the kitchen, assist in meal prep and serving, and support cleanliness and safety per ServSafe standards.

The role requires reliability, teamwork, and ability to lift up to 30 pounds.

Qualifications

• Must be ServSafe trained.
• Must be reliable, flexible, and enjoy working in a team environment.
• Must be able to lift and occasionally move up to 30 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Operate the kitchen efficiently in coordination with the Manager.
• Assist in preparation and serving of meals.
• Support cleanup operations for the kitchen and equipment.
• Monitor cash receipts and perform cashier duties as needed.
• Carry out additional tasks as directed by the Manager.
• Maintain sanitation and safety standards according to ServSafe protocol.
